Oh, you should definitely head towards Kreis 4, most of the good record shops are located there.
Sonic at Anwandstrasse is one of them, the owner shows you at least two even better vinyls for every one you like. Not much different is Crazy Beat at Badenerstrasse: one could spend hours in there!

Once a year, the lovely town of Winterthur is definitely THE PLACE TO BE for MUSIC LOVERS: the Musikfestwochen are on!
From 15 – 26 of August, there will be lots of astonishing concerts, until the 23 of August all of them are with free entry. We are especially looking forward to Apparat, The Black Seeds, Movits! and Sigur Ros.
The atmosphere at all three main venues Steinberggasse, Kirchplatz and Graben in the middle of the old town of Winterthur is very relaxed. Beside a wide range of concerts, you could also enjoy cabaret, films, delicious food, local beer, a special program for kids and the night-owls can party all night long at different clubs.
Winterthur is only 25km away from Zurich and the easiest way to get there is by public transport. The trains to Zurich leave every 5-10 minutes and during weekends, there are trains all night long.
For techno-lovers, Zurich is definitely the place to be at this weekend: It’s time for Streetparade again! Be prepared to find the city centre packed with dressed-up party people and curious onlookers. Love Mobiles tour the city and DJs play on stages between Bürkliplatz and Utoqiai until midnight.
For a never ending party with an excellent line-up, go to Lethargy at Rote Fabrik.

If you’re not into nz-nz-nz-sound and crowded crazyness, you might prefer to escape the city. We suggest a visit at the music festival „Schlauer Bauer“. Set in the middle of the Wetzikon forest and with the spirit of Coachella, it’s the perfect place for good music and good spirit.

Summer in Zurich wouldn’t be summer in Zurich without the concert series Stadtsommer. Sponsored and organised by the city of Zurich, seven local bands get to choose a location to play for one night.
For all those not lying at the beach somewhere in the south, Stadtsommer is the place to listen to good music, mingle and enjoy a Zurich summer night. Free entrance.

Even after this long weekend, myfriendfromzurich can’t wait for the next – cause it’s time for Stolze Openair! For the eleventh time this means: Two days of good music, soccer, eating, drinking and relaxing – and all this right in the middle of town.
