We also wonder where lovely misses spring has gone. But, nevertheless, there are still plenty of things to do in Zurich on a rainy day:

Buy a thick book (read our suggestions for book shops) and spend the day reading in a cosy coffee place like Casablanca, Plüsch or Dihei.

Visit one of Zurichs many museums. Our favorites are Rietberg, Bellerive and the Museum of Design. Or chose one from the complete list Zurich Tourism made.

Brave the elements with dolce far niente: Visit the lunch cinema and treat yourself with a visit at one of Zurichs spas afterwards.

Yes, we understand your feelings. In the last weeks the weather in Zurich felt as icy as in Siberia and we didn’t get too much sunshine too. But don’t you worry, we have some suggestions to take off the blues:

1) Visit the Masoala Rainforest at the zoo – temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees and a tropical feeling guaranteed.

2) Shop at one of the Indian, Chinese or African shops around Langstrasse cook something spicy.

3) If you’re to lazy to cook: Have dinner at Mexican restaurant Turm. The tropical plants in the dining room and the authentic cuisine will help you forget the harsh winter.

4) Relax at one of Zurichs spas – read our suggestions here.

Seebad Enge: In winter, the popular summer bath turns into a sauna. Be brave and jump right into lake Zurich after a having a long and hot sauna.
