Event Tips for this week: Books, clothes or drinks?

We always knew: Zurich is so multifaceted! Our little big home town offers many things to see and do. This week for example, you can decide between books, vintage things or drinks – to name just a few opportunities, of course:

Today starts Zürich liest 13, an international literary festival in Zurich, Winterthur and their surroundings. During the next 4 days, more than 200 writers from Switzerland, Germany, Europe and overseas will present their work in the context of 140 events. Highlights are for example the readings of Franz Hohler, Peter Bichsel, Arno Carmenisch, Federica de Cesco or Donna Leon. Also very interesting sound the poetry slams, the events by Kaffee Kreise and the ones related to Dadaism.
Inform yourself about program and tickets on the website.

If you are more into vintage clothes or objects, visit the Vintage Market at Restaurant Mühlethal on Saturday 26. October, 11am until 6pm.

Last but not least, the Kleine Freiheit ends the outdoor season with a party and a few drinks, music, candles and – in case of bad weather: all of that under a tent. Saturday 26. October after 4pm.
We are already looking forward to the next summer with you, kleine Freiheit!

Where do you send me to enjoy a cold beer in that beautiful summer weather – in the center of Zurich?

That’s easy: we send you to Kleine Freiheit – an urban garden and bar in one, with a very relaxed atmosphere. Finally, the lovely little Weinbergpark on the way down from the University to the central station is used.

The friendly students behind the desk serve delicious things, we especially recommend the local beer or the oriental sandwich with falafel, tomatoes and garlic sauce in pita bread.

We can’t help but being reminded of Frau Gerolds Garten‘s ship containers and flower boxes and the same good vibes, so we name Kleine Freiheit the little brother of “her”.
Stop by to play some games, read a book, to have lunch or an afterwork beer!

Other options @Kreis 1 are the Rio Bar or the Grande.
